Week One

 

• Kart, Suit & Helmet Fitting

• Motorsport Terminology (drivers need to understand race talk when we are training them, this is a short classroom sessions designed to give drivers the understanding of specific racing phrases)

• Track Walk (A key part to any race session is a track walk. Here we discuss breaking points, acceleration points & and other notable track specifics) 

• Acceleration & Braking (A fundamental part of driving fast is getting the basics correct. We start with getting the power down and getting the kart stopped)

• Slaloms & Speed test (here we get the kart moving around. The perfect situation to add some steering input and get a feel for what the kart can do)

• Timed Session (We finish week one with a timed session that starts behind your instructor)

 

Week Two

 

• Racing Lines & Breaking zones (We start week two with a short classroom session on race lines and breaking points around the SCK circuit)

• Follow sessions (Let's put those classroom sessions into practice with a instructor led session)

• Independent sessions (Cone work is next where you drive the circuit with cones to guide your lines and breaking points)

• Independent sessions (More track time without the help of the cone markers)

 

Week Three - Race Day

 

• Practice (Two practice sessions to recap on week 1 & week 2.

• Qualifying (A time trial to set a grid starting position for a race)

• Race (A race to finish the course with certificates awarded to all drivers for successful completion of the SCK Cadet Kart academy)​
