Day One

 

• Kart, Suit & Helmet Fitting

• Session Briefing and introduction to day one and the course.

• Acceleration & Braking. A fundamental part of driving fast is getting the basics correct. We start with getting the power down and getting the kart stopped. 

• Slaloms & Speed test. Here we get the kart moving around. The perfect situation to add some steering input and get a feel for what the kart can do. You'll need get the kart stopped in a controlled manor in the breaking zone.

• Follow laps. Here you will follow the instructor and start learning the race lines. Follow the wheel tracks to perfect the line.

• De-Brief

• Finish week one with an independent drive session.

 

Day Two

 

• Session Briefing and introduction to day two.

• Track walk setting cones to mark braking, turning and acceleration points discussing theory as we walk the track.

• Follow sessions. Follow your instructor through the cones and drive the correct lines, break in the right place and start consistently building pace.

• Independent sessions. Drive independently through a series of sessions with the marker cones in situ.

• De-Brief

• Finish week 2 with independent sessions. Put everything you have learned into practice with more track time without the help of the cone markers.

 

Day Three - Race Day

 

• Practice. Two practice sessions to recap on day 1 & 2.

• Qualifying. A time trial to set a grid starting position for a race

• Race. A race to finish the course with certificates awarded to all drivers for successful completion of the SCK Cadet Kart academy and Medals for 1st 2nd 3rd.​​​​
