Q. How long prior to the session do I need to arrive?

A. You need to arrive an hour before your race start time. Example. 1pm Race. 12pm - 12.20pm driver check in. 12.20pm - 12.40pm driver kitting up. 12.40pm Driver Briefing. 1pm start. Allow extra time if you wish to take advantage of our track side diner.

 

Q. Do you supply race suits & crash helmets?

A. Yes, we supply both race suit and crash helmet. Please be aware that if you are using our crash helmets, a balaclava and gloves will be required (Hygiene pack sold at the track for £4.50) or you can bring your own.

Q. Can I wear fancy dress? 

A. Not while driving our Karts, but you can of course wear fancy dress to the circuit and on the podium at the end of the race.

Q. Can I use my own Kart/Mini Moto/Pit Bike at South Coast Karting. 

A. Unfortunately not. Our circuit is exclusively used for our rental Karts.

Q. Do you do blue light/military discount?

A. We currently do not offer any discount.

 

Q. What if its raining on the day of my race?

A. All events take place in all weather conditions, with the exception of extreme weather (e.g. snow), in which case we will contact you prior to your event to reschedule as appropriate. In wet conditions drivers are supplied with plastic wet suits, but it is sensible to bring a change of clothes in case you get caught out.

Q. What happens if I’m running late?

A. You run the risk of missing your race. We will always try our best to accommodate you, however we do run to a tight time schedule which may mean you forfeit your racing.

Q. Is there a car park?

A. Yes, free parking is available on site.

Q. Can I cancel my booking?

A. Amendments and cancellations must be made 28 days in advance of your booking. We cannot accommodate cancellations or amendments within 28 days.

  

Q. Is there a weight limit?

A. Yes, the maximum weight is 18 stone.

Q. Is there a height limit?

A. Yes, Maximum height is 6ft2.

Q. Can I use my own race suit/crash helmet?

A. Yes, you can, as long as it is a one-piece suit, and your own helmet has a visor or goggles if your helmet is open faced.

Q. Can I use my own GoPro?

A. Yes, we do have some helmets that have the mount but if you don’t have a fitting you may struggle to fit the GoPro.

Q. Do I need a driving licence? 

A. No driver licence is required but all drivers should meet the requirements set out in our t's & c's.

Q. Do I need to book?

A. Yes, all sessions and races must be pre booked. You can book online or call on 01202 577733.

Q. How long is a lap

A. A typical lap in a Snr Kart in good weather is around the 30 second mark & in a cadet Kart 35 seconds.

Q. Is you food available? 

A. Yes, our track side diner is open daily. You can see our Diner menu here -  MENU

Q. How far from Bournemouth Town Centre are you? 

A. The circuit is situated next to Bournemouth International Airport a shorth 7 mile drive from the Centre of Bournemouth.
