Welcome to The South Coast Karting Championship Experience

Just turn up and drive in an organized race series in our in house Karting Championship experiance.

Karts, fuel, crash helmet, race suit & gloves are all supplied by us as SCK. If you want to use your own race-wear then you are more than welcome.

With two weight categories and equal Karts, you wont find closer racing!

Drivers of all abilities are welcome.

Each Round consists of,

5 Minute practice that rolls into a 3 Minute Qualifying session that will give you approx 5 laps to bank a qualifying time.

10 Minute Heat 1. Grid up in Qualifying order.

10 Minute Heat 2. Grid up in Heat 1 finish order.

12 Minute Final. Points are added together from heats for the finals grid positions.

Kart Selection will be random selection prior qualifying and each race. You must drive a different Kart in every race/session, duplicated kart draw will be redrawn.

Championship points will be awarded in Qualy, Heat 1, Heat 2 and the Final

Qualifying Points 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1

Heat Points 24, 22, 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11

Final Points 30, 28, 26, 25, 24, 23, 22, 21, 20, 19, 18, 17

Trophies for 1st 2nd 3rd at every round & end of series top three in class.

2020 Weight Categories - Lights - Min 73kg - Heavies - Min 95kg

Lead seat inserts can be used to achieve the minimum weight in desired category.

Personal driver weight is to be supplied by the competitor.

JUNIORS

Following the successful launch of our Junior Championship in 2020 and a successful 2021 campaign. 2022 will see the series return for a three round winter series and an 8 round summer series. An arrive & drive championship exclusively for drivers ages 12 - 16 years old. All karts, race ware is provided. Just turn up and race.

No race experience is necessary, however drivers need to demonstrate they can lap in a safe and consistent manor. This can be achieved by attending a timed session at SCK.

CADETS

With Cadet Academy graduates eager to start racing we have launched the Cadet Autumn Cup kicking off on 18th September. A three round championship for our younger drivers.

No race experience is necessary, however drivers need to demonstrate they can lap in a safe and consistent manor. This can be achieved by attending a timed session at SCK or having successfully completed out Cadet Academy course hear at sck.
